Can't Find what you're looking for? Try Google Search Here!"

A malware scanner and remover

The BugBopper applicatyion was developed to be is a system exploration tool that will help you find unknown threats lurking in your machine. With the rate at which cyber attacks are now occurring, machines are regularly found to contain malware that had been previously undetected by traditional anti-virus and spyware scanners.

Wuzzup can solve this problem by positively identifying as "safe" every single known executable file in your system. For those that are not yet known, it captures the file, transmits it to our lab, where an array of tools analyze it. Scan again a few hours later, and you'll know about those unknowns.

It was designed to be:

- Fastist: BugBopper can scan your machine at up to 500 executables per second or more, depending on your machine, your internet connection, and the number of suspect files present. Once a full scan has been completed and the unknown files examined, re-scans are even faster. In one test, BugBopper checked 18,248 files in 6.3 seconds - about 2,898 checks per second. That's fast. In comparison, other products look half-fast.
- Smallist: The average anti-malware product is 75 Mb on your disk. BugBopper takes only about 3 Mb.
- Trustworthyist: You can trust other scanners to false alarm and miss malware. Less than 1% of all malware files are detected by all scanners. About 40% of files are detected by only half of the scanners used. The average scanner detects just 62% of malware files, with a range of results from a low of about 30% to a high of about 80%. BugBopper will detect all malware files, and give you a score for each, so that you can judge the likelihood that each is malware.
- Informativeist: When BugBopper or Wuzzup report a file as possible malware, they provide a link to more information on that file.

BugBopper can be so wonderful because it was designed to solve the problems not addressed by traditional scanners, not designed to copy them.
- Traditional scanners look for known bad stuff, asking about each file "are you on my list?" If a file is not on the list, we don't know whether it is good, or merely not on the list.
- In contrast, BugBopper looks at a file, and asks if it is on its local list of known good stuff (most of the files in your machine are good.) If not, it consults our massive online database of stuff, to see if it is now known good or known bad. If it isn't in our database, and is an executable program, then BugBopper will rush a copy to our lab, and we'll figure this out, on the spot. Before your scan is finished, BugBopper knows the truth about the file.

NOTE:
- You may use BugBopper for any noncommercial purpose.
- You may evaluate BugBopper either by running an unlicensed version (it won't remove malware or quarantine, but will do everything else that the licensed version can do) or by running Wuzzup, which shares a code base, and will demonstrate the high detection rate, small footprint, and high speed of BugBopper

Here are some key features of "BugBopper":

Detection Confidence Scores:
· An industry first: the Scan Log includes data to assist in knowing whether a malware detection is dead-certain, probable, or perhaps a false alarm. Detection Confidence Scores give a user the probability that various anti-malware products will identify the file as malware. Most users will want to ignore files they've used for quite a while and that have confidence scores under 25% or so -- because three out of four anti-malware products would regard such files as harmless. Conversely, most users will want to give careful attention to new files that have confidence scores of 50% or more.

Informed Consent:
· When BugBopper or Wuzzup report a file as possible malware, they provide a link to more information on that file. You can click the link to learn more, and make your decision on whether or not to remove it. A typical page of info is here, and this site has 7,707,848 such pages of analyses of malware executables. No other scanner vendor offers such a comprehensive malware encyclopedia. So whether you decide to remove or retain a file, you can make such a decision based on solid information.

Size Matters:
· Small is Beautiful. Some anti-virus products are 100 times as large as Wuzzup and BugBopper on disk, taking up to 293 Mb, with an average of 75 Mb. In our evaluation, Wuzzup had the smallest product footprint of 122 products compared: just over 3 Mb.

First, Do No Harm:
· This is a central principle for emergency medical services around the world, and should be central to computer services as well. Wuzzup can be trusted to do no harm because it changes nothing in the registry, deletes no files. It leaves you smarter, but leaves your machine as it was. BugBopper can blast the malware in your machine, but won't do that without first safely storing it in quarantine, in case you ever want it back. Restoring from quarantine is just a simple click.

A Trusted Second Opinion:
· Every legitimate anti-malware product is good, and reflects enormous effort on the part of the developer. But no legitimate anti-malware product is good enough. Every anti-malware product that detects a boatload of malware misses enough to sink a ship. Much of that stuff was written today (about 3,100 new Trojans were created in the past 24 hours), but some is a month old or more. When you scan, you deserve to know that every program in your machine is known, and good.

Advanced AutoUpdate:
· At each load, Wuzzup and BugBopper spend a second to see if there is a new version of itself. If so, it offers to update itself -- free, of course. Updates take just seconds, because these nifty things are so small. When Wuzzup or BugBopper find a file they do not know, they whisk that file back to our lab for immediate analysis. Whether or not the analysis finds malware, our online database knows immediately. Wuzzup and BugBopper can retrieve this information before the scan finishes, or at the time of the next scan.

Runs Fast:
· AV products don't run. They lumber. Even when they aren't running at all, your machine can behave like it's bogged down with spyware. Wuzzup and BugBopper run when they run, and can scan up to 500 files per second or more, depending on your machine, your internet connection, and the number of suspect files present. Once a full scan has been completed and the unknown files examined, re-scans are even faster. In one test, Wuzzup checked 18,248 files in 6.3 seconds - about 2,898 checks per second. That's fast. In comparison, other products look half-fast.

Plays Nicely:
· Wuzzup and BugBopper are compatible with all anti-virus and anti-spyware products. If your scanner runs (or lumbers), it will run with Wuzzup and BugBopper. Wuzzup and BugBopper are also compatible with your system: compared with other scanners, they have a tiny footprint, use little memory, and won't slow your other applications noticeably when they are running.

The Price is Right:
· A license for Wuzzup is free. A license for BugBopper is very inexpensive!
